Fire Temple

A familiar name with a new encounter

The five-player Fire Temple is set in lava caverns, with traps, Watchers and a mysterious mirror tied to Kromede. NC demonstrated an AION 2 fight against Kromede in its August 2025 showcase.

The sequel reworks familiar locations. Use old AION memories for atmosphere, then learn the route and encounter from the current version.

Travel through the dungeon together

Before the first pull, agree whether the group is exploring or following an experienced guide. Let that player lead through unfamiliar rooms while everyone keeps enough space to see environmental cues.

• Pause when a new area or interactable appears; do not have several players activate things independently.
• Confirm everyone has reached the next staging area before beginning combat.
• If someone falls behind, regroup before starting another encounter.
• Observe the actual route and hazards instead of assuming that every visible lava surface follows the same rule.

Build an encounter plan from what you see

On a learning pull, focus on the sequence that causes the first death. Note the animation, the player’s location, and whether a defensive action was available. A useful callout describes the observed cue rather than guessing a mechanic name.

Check the selected difficulty’s reward screen rather than relying on a remembered original-game drop. Save route and mechanic notes with the date and difficulty. The party guide provides the shared ready check and wipe-review process.
