Choose the activity that fits your session
The global presentation includes solo, five-player and ten-player PvE. Start with the dungeon menu in your own service: the selected difficulty and its entry panel determine whether your character and party can enter.
| Your goal | Good starting point | Prepare first |
|---|---|---|
| Practice without a party | An available solo instance | Learn your defensive buttons and one reliable damage sequence. |
| Learn coordinated boss combat | A five-player Expedition | Agree on roles, pace and who makes the pull. |
| Organize a larger group | An available ten-player group dungeon | Set a start time, caller and assignments. |
| Improve a clear you already know | The next eligible difficulty or challenge | Identify what failed before adding more difficulty. |
See group combat before your first run
These gameplay screenshots come from the official global dungeon showcase. They introduce encounter scale and environment variety; use the named guides and your selected difficulty to prepare for an actual run.

The four named global Expeditions
Use these location pages to identify the encounter, then use the party checklist for your first visit. A familiar dungeon name from original AION is not a guarantee of familiar mechanics.
Find a group and a longer-term goal
The global transfer notice confirms that instanced content, including dungeons, supports play across servers. Use the available dungeon recruitment tools before assuming a server transfer is required to find a group.
For competitive PvE, the global Transcendence guide explains the verified leaderboard menu and the launch-event destinations. Build a reliable clear first, then compare progress within your own class and server.
Prepare for a first clear
Choose a learning group when you have not seen the encounter. State your experience before entering, and agree whether the party wants a first clear, repeat rewards or difficulty practice. Those goals require different pacing.
- Read the selected difficulty, level and item requirements, reward conditions and any attempt counter.
- Equip the skills you intend to use, put recovery tools on reachable keys, and leave inventory space.
- Assign responsibility for pulling, recovery and any interactions once the party has observed them.
- Stop after a failed attempt to identify the first avoidable mistake. Change one thing on the next pull.
Understand regional mode names
The original PvE reveal names Nightmare, Seal Dungeon, Garrison and Awakening Battle as solo activities, with Expedition, Transcendence, Eradication and Sanctuary among party categories. These labels document the earlier regional lineup.
The April 2026 regional update removed the specific Raid category. Sanctuary and other group content continued; “Raid removed” does not mean that all large-group PvE disappeared. The regional catalog keeps later additions separate from the global list.
