Know who you are fighting with
The global server notice places opposing home-server factions together in shared spaces such as the Abyss. Choose the same region and faction as friends before planning to fight together.
The original Abyss reveal described fights over bosses, artifacts and Abyss Points. Those objectives establish its competitive identity; they do not mean that every later Abyss variant contains the same targets.
Recognize regional rule differences
Regional updates changed both team assignment and objectives. Read the zone label when entering, then use the current map and mode rules.
| Regional variant or change | What the official update established |
|---|---|
| Chaotic Abyss · March 2026 | West/East forces organized by server, regardless of race. |
| Spacetime Rift · March 2026 | Continued race-based matchmaking. |
| Chaotic Upper Reshanta · Chapter 1 | Item level and combat power caps; no bosses or artifacts. |
| Abyss death penalty · February 2026 | PvP deaths reduced ranking points rather than Abyss Points in that update. |
Your first group visit
Enter with a clear objective: learn the routes, assist an organized group or contest a target. A random chase can separate you from allies faster than a planned retreat can repair.
- Agree on a rally location and identify the group’s caller.
- Learn how allies and enemies appear in the interface for that mode.
- Keep support players and retreat routes in view when moving.
- Regroup after deaths before re-entering a fight as scattered individuals.
- Read the current event window and reward rules before committing a full session.
When a fight is going badly
Call the change early. If the group loses position or support, move toward an agreed rally point instead of each player choosing a different escape route. Review whether the loss began with a numbers disadvantage, a split group or a missed defensive response.
Separate spendable rewards, ranking progress and any displayed weekly limits when planning upgrades. An older guide about point losses can be wrong for a later regional update.
