Create the appearance you want to play
NC’s character-creation preview describes more than 200 adjustable features. Appearance is a creative choice alongside your faction and class; a cosmetic preview is not evidence of extra combat power.
As an editorial workflow, start with the overall silhouette and face, then refine hair, color and small details. Check the full body as well as the close-up portrait so proportions work together.
Review before confirming
- Check region, faction and server against your friends’ exact selection.
- Confirm the class name and preview its combat identity before finalizing.
- Read the client’s naming rules and any confirmation message.
- Rotate the preview and inspect the character from the angles you will see during play.
- If the current creator offers presets or export tools, save a copy before leaving it.
Appearance changes after creation
Read the current appearance-change screen before using a voucher or spending currency. Check what it changes, whether the item is bound, whether it expires and whether applying the change consumes it.
The launch materials do not establish a permanent free-change allowance. A temporary event voucher is different from an unlimited account feature. Preview the result before confirming a paid change.
Make the character readable in combat
Once in game, judge the result at your normal camera distance. For group play, a clear view of targets and encounter effects matters more than matching the creator’s close-up lighting.
If you are choosing a class mainly for its outfit, also try its early combat. You will spend more time using its controls than looking at the creation portrait.
