Choose a supported launcher

The global release officially supports Windows PC through Steam and PURPLE. Both launchers use the same game content and servers, so friends do not need to pick the same launcher.

The launch FAQ does not offer official Linux or Steam Deck support. Controller use is possible but unsupported. A mobile edition in Korea or Taiwan does not establish mobile availability for global.

Link only when you need shared launcher access

You may play through Steam without linking a PURPLE account. Linking is required if you want the same character and progress available through both launchers.

Before making an account change, note your current launcher, sign-in account, region, server and character name. That gives you a reliable way to distinguish an account mismatch from a deleted or missing character.

Twitch Drops and a missing character

NC’s October 2 notice says to connect Twitch to the account you use to play: Steam for Steam players, or NC/PURPLE for PURPLE players. It specifically warns against separately linking another account on the NC website to fix missing Drops; doing so may disrupt the existing connection and access to your character.

If the character disappears after an account-linking change, follow the official recovery FAQ. Repeatedly unlinking or creating replacement accounts makes it harder to identify the original account.

Before you switch launcher or computer

• Record the region and server, including faction; a server name alone is not enough.
• Confirm which account owns your progress and any purchases.
• Check the official account-linking instructions before changing an existing connection.
• Remember that KR/TW progress cannot be imported into global.
