Kina, Quna, Market and Exchange
The global business-model announcement identifies Kina as gameplay currency and Quna as premium currency. Players set item prices in the Market. The currency Exchange lets players sell Kina for Quna; NC describes these exchanges as transactions between players.
An active membership is required for Market and currency Exchange access. The current membership notice ties benefits to characters on the server where membership was purchased. Its updated list removes personal trading and World Market; do not buy membership expecting those removed benefits.
| You want to… | Feature to inspect | Check before confirming |
|---|---|---|
| Buy or sell an eligible item | Market | Exact item, quantity, unit price, binding and final amount |
| Exchange gameplay currency for premium currency | Currency Exchange | Exchange direction, offered amount and Quna received |
| Unlock player-economy access | Membership | Active benefit, correct server and duration |

Compare identical listings
Open the item details, then compare the same grade, upgrade state, effects and trade status. Two listings with the same icon may not be equivalent. For materials, divide the total price by the stack quantity before deciding which is cheaper.
A listing is an asking price, not proof of a completed sale. When selling, compare several equivalent listings and read the transaction preview for any deductions. Count the proceeds you would actually receive, not the headline listing price.
- Example: a stack of 20 for 2,400 Kina costs 120 each; a stack of 5 for 650 costs 130 each. These are illustrative prices.
- Buy the quantity needed for the planned recipe or upgrade. A cheaper unit price can still leave unnecessary currency tied up in surplus materials.
- Check the final quantity and total again after changing a listing or stack size.
Keep progression money separate from optional spending
Before exchanging Kina, write down your next planned purchase or upgrade and its displayed cost. Keep that amount available, then decide how much of the remaining balance you are comfortable exchanging.
Compare the total Quna received for the same Kina amount across available offers. Do not compare exchange offers solely by the size of the advertised bundle. A useful purchase solves a current need; a low price alone is not a reason to buy.
Korea: bound Kina and ordinary Kina are different rewards
NC introduced Kina (Bound) in the March 25, 2026 regional update. That announcement listed quests, Duty rewards, NPC shops, Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds among its sources, while listing trading, monster hunting and Odyle Energy Cubes for ordinary Kina.
The newer Korean Expedition guide, updated September 23, distinguishes rewards by dungeon and difficulty. Its table shows bound Kina for Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple and Draupnir in all listed difficulties; Hall of Illusion and later listed dungeons provide ordinary Kina in Conquest, with bound Kina in Exploration.
The practical consequence is to check the currency icon and difficulty before farming for a Market purchase. An older statement that cubes award ordinary Kina is not a reliable rule for every dungeon today. These Korean reward rules do not establish global availability or reward amounts.
