What companions do

The global presentation describes collectible pets that follow your character, turn into mounts and offer conveniences such as automatic looting.

Read the individual companion’s description before selecting it. Separate the look you enjoy from any listed utility, and verify that the required pet or function is active before relying on it during a long session.

Set up a useful companion

After obtaining a pet, inspect the collection or pet interface and follow its activation instructions. Test the mount and any listed convenience in a quiet area before heading into group content.

• Check whether a reward is an unlock, a consumable item or a choice container before using it.
• Read the displayed sharing and binding rules before assigning a reward to an alternate character.
• Confirm loot actually reaches your inventory and leave space for drops.
• Use the current client’s controls for mounting and dismounting.
• In restricted areas, follow the interface’s availability message instead of assuming a pet is broken.

A launch promotion to check

The Japan-facing English global site advertises two login mounts delivered by in-game mail, once per region. It gives an account-creation deadline of December 2, 2026 at 15:30 JST and a claim deadline of December 9 at 15:30 JST.

What changed in Korea and Taiwan

The January 7 regional update announced server-wide pet ownership and Genus Insight sharing. Insight uses the highest character value on that server, while pet levels are combined across characters. Chapter 1 later introduced riding pets inside dungeons.

Those announcements explain why a KR / TW guide may recommend sharing progress across alternate characters. Confirm the corresponding rules in your own service before spending resources on that plan.

Choose a collection goal

Start with a companion whose appearance or confirmed utility you will use. Inspect reward previews and eligibility before working toward another unlock. A large collection can be a satisfying long-term goal, but a promotional picture alone does not establish a stat bonus or a particular acquisition method.
